Nestled in the heart of a 6-hectare tropical garden, this 1927 colonial home and its three cottages welcome you into an authentic and beautifully preserved setting. Clad in rich wooden tones, the property has retained all the charm and soul of a bygone era. Located on the Basse-Terre side of Guadeloupe, above the village of Trois-Rivières, it sits on the lush slopes of the ancient Soufrière volcano, surrounded by a thriving banana plantation. From the house, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the Saintes archipelago—an ever-changing natural spectacle. Here, serenity and tranquillity reign, in perfect harmony with the vibrant nature and Creole heritage.

Sustainability Activities
Here, nature is not just a backdrop—it’s a living part of the experience. Le Jardin Malanga is nestled within a lush botanical garden, planted with fruit trees—papaya, lemon, mango, coconut, banana, and breadfruit trees—that our guests are invited to explore… and even pick themselves.
- The fruits harvested on-site can be enjoyed at breakfast or featured on the plates at our guest table. A vegetable garden cultivated on the property also provides carrots, herbs, and seasonal vegetables, all used in the kitchen with the utmost respect for the natural rhythms of the land.
- Our chef creates an inspired and generous cuisine, deeply connected to the land that surrounds him. Each day, he crafts his menus based on seasonal ingredients, sourced either from the hotel’s own garden or from local producers. This short supply chain approach ensures optimal freshness and significantly reduces the environmental impact linked to transportation. It also supports the local economy while showcasing the authentic flavours of Guadeloupe.
- Signs are posted to encourage guests to reuse their towels when possible and conserve water.
- Shower gel and shampoo are provided in large dispensers to reduce waste
- Our establishment is mostly equipped with LED bulbs.
- Our teams are made aware of reducing their waste production. A specific incentive has been introduced to encourage paper reduction. Our guests are invited to participate in this collective effort: reducing paper use through QR codes in the rooms, reusing towels, and taking part in the Green Days Guadeloupe with beach cleanup activities.
- As the water at the hotel is drinkable, we encourage guests to refill their water bottles in their guestrooms.
Food Options
Guests are encouraged to inform our hotel of any allergies at time of booking. Le Jardin Malanga will make every effort to accommodate guests with food allergies but cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
